It seemed so distant, as 2010 was the first and last time Barking and Dagenham won the Panathlon London Champions Final Event, recent years we have been runners up. However this year was our time once again to reclaim the title. 2016 was to be our year. After 10 months of blood sweat and tears Barking and Dagenham won the Panathlon London Championships Final in fantastic style.

Contributing hugely to the win we took 10 of our own Students from Stanley Park and we won multiple events:

winning Gold in Kurling with Jermimah and David in supreme form to help us win Gold.

winning Gold in Polybat with Japhet Benjimen undefeated. 

winning Gold in Athletics with Gbolly Oloko jumping over 2 meters and Regan Topping hitting top marks in Precision Beanbag.

winning Silver in Boccia with Zakariya, Eric and Englison fighting tooth and nail against the cities best contestants.

winning Silver in Table Cricket with James Cole smashing 5 sixes in an over and taking the bowlers apart

Over all the Barking and Dagenham team was a strong team and showed last years champions Croydon that teams' spirit, dedication and  commitment was the winning formula.
