Trinity School

Paralympic Legacy

Trinity School is a part of the Paralympic Legacy at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park 15/09/16

Today during Community Sport a group of FEC students had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Olympic Park as part of Motivate East and their role in keeping the Paralympic legacy alive. Students had the chance to experience, learn and play a variety of different sports such as Tennis, Athletics, Boccia and Seated Volleyball. It was such a hot day however rotating each of the sports with shade and water breaks it truly was a great day enjoyed by all. All 9 students who attended spoke about the different sports they had tried on their way back and how much fun they had with friends and other members of the surrounding community coaches. A sport that many of them tried for the first time and enjoyed in particular was the Seated Volleyball. At first many of the students struggled with the different techniques of Setting, Spiking and Digging however after some practice and perseverance they managed to play a full game with the Red Team narrowly taking the win.

Well done to all students for being such an asset to the school, their manners and behaviour around the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and towards the coaching team were great.
