Reading and Phonic Progression at Trinity School
Down on the Farm
On 2nd May, SSWH and SSLA visited Dagenham farm and were spectacular ambassadors for the school.
Students and staff learned new skills and experienced the life cycle of plants, whilst the community farm benefited from some incredibly keen labour!
We are hoping to increase links with the growing community there and If you would like to learn more about Dagenham farm have a look at the link below;

SSWH and SSLA have been involved with the School Food Matters – Know Your Onions project this year.
Both classes have worked together all year participating in sessions intended to educate about Food and sustainability, this has involved meeting and working with external adults for Gardening and Cooking, volunteering at Dagenham Farm, and culminated in selling their produce at Barking Market on 11th July!
All items were grown/produced at Trinity by Secondary or FEC classes, and it was an honour to be there today to see representatives from both classes communicating with and selling to the public.
There were some big sales, in fact, our motto of ‘one for the price of two’ proved incredibly popular. We also met the Mayor who could not have been more complimentary about our students.
Well Done!
